WordPress block editor feature #1 – Quote

Block editor is a welcome change to all those bloggers who have been using WordPress for a long time and also for those who have started blogging. It now looks smoother and more modern and with WordPress dedicating a lot of resources to continuously making it better, we can believe that it is a tool we should be using more efficiently. In our WordPress block editor series, we will go over every feature one by one and bring it our users.

Quote helps us to give visual emphasis to a quoted. It can be a quote relevant to your blog post or it can be a feedback provided to you by your readers. If you want it to stand out, then you should be using Quote feature in your block editor.

It can easily be found in the add block section under ‘common blocks,’ if not found under ‘most used.’

Or alternatively you can type the ‘/quote’ command and press enter.

It has two basic styles which you can chose depending on how much you would like to give focus on your texts:

  1. Default style
  • Large style

It will also have some basic editing option in its toolbar such as:

  • Text align by right, center and left.
  • Bold
  • Italics
  • Adding a url link
  • Inline code
  • Inline image
  • Strikethrough
  • Text color
  • Underline

All the best to you to use the Quote block in the block editor. Feel free to write down in the comment section if you have any questions.
